CAR WASH: Frontslide Youth Group is having a fundraising car wash from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Faith Christian Family Church, 3440 Davison Road in Lapeer (across from Lapeer Lanes). The cost is a donation.
BENEFIT FOR SARA: There will be a benefit dinner and silent auction to benefit Sara Coulter, who is battling breast cancer, from 1-4 p.m. Sunday at Metamora Lions Club Hall, 3790 N. Oak St. in Metamora. Tickets are just $10 and are available at The Villa Restaurant and Speedy Screen Printing in Downtown Lapeer. Tickets may also be purchased at the door. BENEFIT FOR MARYANN: Benefit dinner for Maryann (Burmeister) Goines from noon-3 p.m. Sunday at Keenan Hall, 6650 Sherman St., North Branch. Goines recently lost her home due to a very serious illness. She has been a phlebotomist for several years at Lapeer Regional Medical Center. There will be a spaghetti dinner, 50/50 raffle, and auction. Donations can also be mailed to Maryann Goines, 6831 Jefferson St., North Branch, MI 48461.
FREE IMLAY CITY CONCERT: The Lost Cuzzins will perform a free concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Imlay City's Lamb-Steele Park. In case of rain, the concert will be held inside the Lamb-Steele Building.
FIELDS A FLUTTER: Fields a Flutter-Butterfly Farm will be presented at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Dryden Township Library. Free. Limited to 40 participants. Presentation includes an overview of the monarch butterfly's life cycle.
LAPEER COUNTY'S FAIR: Eastern Michigan Fair at the fairgrounds in Imlay City Tuesday through Saturday featuring entertainment, a carnival, 4-H auction and more all included in one price for admission.
DON'T FORGET THE POPCORN: "ELF" will be shown as a free movie at dusk Thursday in Imlay City's Lamb-Steele Park behind City Hall.
FREE TUNES: The Golden Harvest Trio will play 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Almont's Music in the Park. Free.
