Brown City school board selects officers
BROWN CITY -- The school board got organized at its recent meeting, including selecting officers for the 200809 school year.

Alan Burgess has been chosen as the president, Gary Rutkowski is the vice president, Ron Marion is secretary, Peggy Kalbfleisch is the treasurer, Dave Bartle is th esecretary pro-tem, and Jeff Liebler is the treasurer pro-tem.
The school board committees are:
Personnel: Kalbfleisch, Marion and Rutkowski.
Technology: Bartle, Burgess and Mark Mittlestat.
Policy/Finance: Leibler, Klabfleisch and Bartle.
Negotiations/Interview: Marion, Burgess and Barlte.
Building and Grounds/Transportation: Rutkowski, Leibler and Mittlestat.
The 2008-09 meetings will be held at 7 p.m. in the Educational Services Center.
The dates are as follows: Aug. 18, Sept. 15, Oct. 20, Nov. 17, Dec. 15, Jan. 19, Feb. 9, March 16, April 20, May 18, and June 22.
Meanwhile, the board also accepted the resignation of Russell Reitz "with regret" from his Spanish teaching position at Brown City High School.
