Goodrich's Pogue takes third in Volkslaufe; Lapeer's Bush wins 13-under 10-K run
FRANKENMUTH -- Goodrich's Taylor Pogue, who will be a junior on the Martians' cross country team this fall, finished in third place in the Volkslaufe 5K run this past Saturday.

Pogue came in third in the 5K run with a time of 19:10. Along with finishing in third place overall, Pogue had the best time of any woman in the 14-17 age group. Pogue was a dual state-qualifier this past spring in both the 1600 meter and 3200 meter runs. Pogue finished in fifth in Division 2 in the 1600 (5:12.94) and wound up grabbing a seventh place finish in the 3200 with a time of 11:23.62.
Marlette's Kasey Sauder took first place in the 13-under division in the 20-kilometer run with a time of 1:48.08.
Davison's Marilyn Brown won first place in the 65-69 age group for women in the 10-kilometer run with a time of 1:02:05.Ê
Mayville's Debbie Topham had the best overall time for women in the 5-kilometer walk with a finish of 29:07.
For the men, Lapeer's Bryan Bush had the best finish in the 10-kilometer run in the 13-under age group with a run of 42:44. Tom Carr of Columbiaville finished in second in the men's 40-49 division in the 5-kilometer walk with a time of 34:32.Ê
