NORTH BRANCH -- North Branch's Colleen Cross made four saves and Lauren Brooks scored the game's only goal as the Broncos defeated Birch Run 1-0 on Thursday.

Brooks scored her goal in the first half for North Branch (7-6-2, 4-3-1 TVC-E), as the Broncos defense kept the Panthers away from the goal in the second half to preserve the Tri-Valley East win. Sarah Voight was credited with an assist on Brooks' goal.
