LAPEER - As of Tuesday morning, according to the Lapeer County Clerk's office, the following candidates have filed for the Aug. 5 primary election: County Clerk Marlene Bruns (incumbent-Republican), sheriff-Dale Jenkins (R), prosecuting attorney-Phillip A. Fulks (D), Register of Deeds Melissa R. DeVaugh (R-incumbent) and those filing for the 82nd House of Representatives seat include Bill Marquardt (D), Gary Howell (R), Randy St. Laurent (R), Paul St. Louis (R), Kevin Daley (R), and Bernard Anthony Jocuns Jr. (D). The deadline for filing is May 13.
