This is just the fifth year that Brandon Cheer has competed in the MHSAA Competitive Cheer format, and coach Jamie Slot says that the team has accomplished an awful lot in such a short time. "This team has been absolutely unbelievable this season," Slot said. "Their drive and teamwork is truly incredible. "They are a great group of athletes to work with." Coming in second place in the Metro League was Lapeer West, who had grand total of 2,047.174. Oxford rounded out the top three with a score of 1,969.517. Receiving First Team All League honors were: Jessica Fahr, Emily Murphy, Talana Pearson, Brittany LeMesurrier and Jill Brendel. Second Team honors went to Danielle Snyder, Bethany Harding, Jackie Broders and Colleen Brendel. Kallie Zardus was the lone Blackhawk named Honorable Mention. Out of the nine competitions held this season, the Brandon Cheer Team won first place seven times. |
