For coach Gray, it was a big night where his team came back strong from Friday's disappointing loss to New Lothrop.

"We played great defense against New Lothrop's shooters," Gray said. "We held them to their second lowest point total of the year. However, New Lothrop did a great job of negating our size advantage and their help defense was tremendous as well.

"So it was great to see our seniors play tough on Monday in their last home game."

Goodrich jumped out to a big lead in the first half. The Martians overpowered the Blue Devils and raced to a 39-9 lead after the first sixteen minutes of play had elapsed.

"We had great balance on the offensive and defensive end of the court," Gray said. "It was another great team effort in our final home game."

Lindsay Bergquist led Goodrich with 12 points and also had five steals. Kortni Elsworth had another strong outing with 11 points and eight assists. Brittany Bertrand had seven rebounds and four steals and JoAnne Carter finished with five rebounds.

Davison 48, Flint Central 46: Sophomore guard Chelsea Billbrough came off the bench to score all seven of her points in the fourth quarter, sparking the Cardinals to the non-league victory at home on Monday night. Davison built a four-point lead with 30 seconds left, then ran out the clock after Central scored a late basket.

Lauren Bellamy led Davison with 21 points and Kaylee Rahmann added 11.

Marlette 56, Deckerville 46: At Deckerville, the Red Raiders secured at least a share of the Greater Thumb East title with the win over the Eagles on Monday night.

Marlette led 46-21 at the end of the third quarter.

The Raiders were led by 14 points from Jenna Lange. Lange also grabbed eight rebounds and had eight assists.

Catherine Distelrath scored 11 points and Kelsey Hall added 11 for Marlette.
