Kevin Daley was elected chairman, Eldon Card, vice-chairman, and Lloyd Broecker, secretary/treasurer at the Jan. 7 gathering.

"All three of these individuals have held these positions for the past three years," said Lapeer County EMS Executive Director Galland Burnham. "They've all done a great job."

In addition to the recently elected officers, Arlan Winslow, Imlay City; Paul Wilcox, Almont Township; Lynn Hoffman, North Branch Township; and Ray Evans, Dryden Township; were elected to the Board of Directors at the final Lapeer County EMS Authority meeting held in December.

"This is the annual meeting of all 15 owning municipality representatives," Burnham said. "Seven are elected from this. The board makes decisions on the direction of the Lapeer County EMS for the following year."

Each of the 15 owning community members have a representative in the authority. All Lapeer County municipalities are members with the exception of the townships of Rich, Burnside, Burlington and Marathon.

"Most of them are volunteers, and all have a lot of community spirit," Burnham said.
