Michael Lee King, 36, of North Port, Fla., has been charged with first degree murder in the killing of Denise Amber Lee, 21. Lee is the daughter of Charlotte County Sheriff's Lt. Richard Goff.

About 300 officers and volunteers had been searching for the mother of two young children since she disappeared from her home Thursday afternoon, according to the Herald-Tribune, (Sarasota County). She was reported missing 3:20 p.m. when her husband finished work and returned home. She was gone, but the couple's 18-month and six-month sons were home alone.

A phone call from Lee came into the Fla. 9-1-1 Center about 6:15 p.m. Thursday. The dispatcher lost connection with the crying woman. The call was traced back to the owner of the phone, King, who was arrested six hours after.

According to reports from North Port Police, the young mother's body was found buried Saturday. She was deceased due to a gunshot wound in the head.

Lee lived in Columbiaville in 2001, said Lapeer County Sheriff's Lt. Gary Parks.

"He reported his wife missing," Parks said. "She was later found unharmed. She took off with another man."
